The Intensive Masters degree program in Bioethics
lasts two years (four semesters) and is dedicated to going
more in-depth on bioethics themes, as well as specializing in
certain areas. For graduates who are unable to attend the regular
courses for the Masters degree in Bioethics due to other
professional or academic commitments, the School of Bioethics has created
a series of intensive courses. The same courses offered during the
regular semester are concentrated into two weeks so that the
student, by attending the Athenaeum four times a year, can
received the credits equivalent to a year of regular studies. Every
semester has two intensive course weeks: usually in November and
February for the first semester, and April and June for
the second. In addition, the annual summer course gives the
opportunity to receive 6 more credits toward the credits required
before presenting the final exam. During the intensive week, the lectures
are presented Monday through Friday from 8:30-19:00, with a long
lunch break, and Saturday morning.
