Course curriculum
The course curriculum covers the following areas of study, which may include one or more subjects:
- Methodology of scientific research
- Selected topics of systematic philosophy
- Selected topics of history of the Church
- Selected topics of moral theology
- Selected topics of bioethics
- Selected topics of dogmatic theology
- Selected topics of spiritual theology
Core courses for teaching catholic religion (as set forth in the 2012 agreement between the Italian Episcopal Conference and the Italian Ministry of Education, Universities, and Research) are as follows:
- Theory of educational institutions and related legislation
- Pedagogy and teaching
- Methodology and teaching of catholic religion
- On-the-job training for teaching catholic religion
In the humanities/psychology area, the following subjects are taught:
- Group psychology
- Motivation psychology
- Psychology and developmental disorders
- Psychology of learning
