The course provides a historical background to contemporary thinkers and highlights those traditions of thought that converge in their work. It also proposes a methodology for constructive dialogue with the movement. In particular, the course contends that the Thomistic tradition of natural law virtue ethics can assimilate the positive aspects of the Oxford thinkers and offer a helpful corrective to some of their limitations.
