Following the perspective of Spe Salvi, No. 2, it is structured in three parts: 1) Introductory points to eschatology, with a historical background, the nature of eschatology, language and salvation history as the key to interpretation. 2) Individual eschatology, delving into death, particular judgment, intermediate eschatology and purification as maturation (Purgatory). 3) Universal eschatology, devoted to Parousia, new heavens and new earth, resurrection of the flesh, universal judgment, and final destinies: heaven as eternal communion, hell as final separation.
