Sport and Solidarity for our students
Again in 2020 the Tour To France (#T2F2020) is ready to go, despite the difficulties dictated by the pandemic and the long wait and confirmation of the dates.
On August 22nd Alumnus Fr. Clemens will once again lead our Team from St. Peter’s Square until their arrival on August 29th at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of La Salette, France, to offer Our Lady the prayers and donations received in support of the formation of needy students.
The Team will combine charity, sport and spirituality throughout the 1,400 km route. This edition is full of opportunities and challenges, between dizzying slopes and breathtaking views of the Alps that our Team is ready to face to guarantee support to those in need. The team also makes their own the words of Pope Francis: “In this period, many events are suspended, but the best fruits of sport come out: endurance, team spirit, brotherhood, giving the best of themselves… So, let’s relaunch Sport for Peace and Development“.
The Tour thus both becomes an opportunity to offer its support to the “Pedaling for Scholarships” Campaign for the students of the Athenaeum as well as an opportunity to spread the value of these initiatives, promoting the beauty of creation and solidarity in sports.
To underline the cultural and international relevance of this Tour, this year we are honored to have received the Patronage of the Pontifical Council for Culture of the Vatican.
We invite everyone to follow the Tour, day by day, on our social media channels (FaceBook, Instagram and Youtube); living and discovering new landscapes, cultures and local traditions.
Our hope is to collect more donations than previous editions and as well as offer more scholarships: “A small gesture for a great mission”.

The Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum mission aims at the formation of apostles and Christian leaders to evangelize culture with dedication and commitment.
The ambitious goal is to spread Christian values throughout the world also through our Alumni, academics, religious and professionals, all true ambassadors of the New Evangelization. Many of our Alumni today are international researchers, bishops, priests, university professors, institutional leaders in the world of the Church, business, academia and culture; through them we can bring our mission to the world.
