Alumni APRA for the Jubilee of the World of Education

On the occasion of the Jubilee of the Word of Education, which will be held from 31 October to 2 November, the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum is organising an exclusive three-day event full of Jubilee activities for its Alumni Community.

 

We would like to thank the Partners who support us in this special Event:

1. Opera Romana Pellegrinaggi which we have chosen to manage the organisational part
2. Casa Bonus Pastor where it is possible to stay, close to the Holy See and within the Vicariate of Rome (or similar facilities)
3. Basilica Parrocchiale di S. Giovanni Battista dei Fiorentini where we will hold an exclusive guided tour with a mass to follow officiated by our Academic Authorities

 

The programme includes:

Friday 31 October

• Arrival in the morning in Rome by own means
• 2:00 p.m.: meeting with APRA leaders and OPR pastoral animator at the Casa Bonus Pastor reception facility
• 4:30 p.m.: visit to the Church of San Giovanni Battista dei Fiorentini with a Mass officiated by the Legionaries of Christ
• 19:30: dinner at an exclusive location in the heart of the Eternal City (more details will be provided later)
• 10:00 pm: transfer and overnight stay at Casa Bonus Pastor

Saturday 1 November

• 9:00 am: breakfast and visit to the Jubilee Churches of San Salvatore in Lauro, Santa Caterina da Siena and San Paolo alla Regola
• 1:00 p.m.: free lunch and transfer on foot to the Cathedral of St. John Lateran with a guided tour of the Lateran complex, the medieval cloister, the Papal Apartments and passing through the Holy Door.
• 6 pm: return to Casa Bonus Pastor by public transport for dinner and overnight stay.

Sunday 2 November

• 9:00 am: breakfast and morning dedicated to Jubilee activities in St Peter’s Basilica.
• Depending on the time of departure, free lunch and transfer by public transport to the railway station or airport.

On request, it will be possible to extend your stay at special conditions thanks to our support for a few more pleasant days in the Eternal City.
