Fr. Sameer Vikram Advani, L.C., Appointed Aggregate Professor of the Faculty of Theology
The Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum is pleased to announce the appointment of Prof. Fr. Sameer Vikram Advani, L.C., as Aggregate Professor of the Faculty of Theology.
Fr. Sameer Advani, L.C., currently a lecturer at the Faculty of Theology of the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum, brings significant academic experience to this role. From 2015 to 2018, he served as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Philosophy at the same Athenaeum, and subsequently as a lecturer in that Faculty from 2019 to 2022. He earned his Doctorate in Theology in 2022 from the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum, with a thesis titled From Religious Pluralism to a Unity in Diversity. An Exploration and Analysis of Joseph Ratzinger’s Theology of Religions.
Since 2016, Fr. Sameer has directed the “Christianity and Culture in Rome” program and collaborates with the UNESCO Chair in Bioethics and Human Rights as a Research Scholar. His primary research interests include the thought of Joseph Ratzinger, religious pluralism, intercultural dialogue, ecclesiology, and 20th-century theology.
