March 20: The Encyclical on the Sacred Heart “Dilexit Nos” in Light of the Theology of the Saints and Regnum Christi Spirituality
The Faculty of Theology of the Ateneo Pontificio Regina Apostolorum is pleased to invite students, academics, and the faithful to a Study Day dedicated to deepening the understanding of Pope Francis’s Encyclical on the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
The event, titled “The Encyclical on the Sacred Heart ‘Dilexit Nos’ in Light of the Theology of the Saints and Regnum Christi Spirituality,” will be held on Friday, March 20, from 8:30 AM to 12:50 PM, at the Ateneo Master’s Hall (Aula Master).
Building on the reflections started last year, this day aims to explore the depth of the message in Dilexit Nos. The objective is twofold: on one hand, to analyze how devotion to the Heart of Christ has been embodied by the great masters of Christian spirituality throughout the centuries; on the other, to delve into the vital link between this theological heritage and the Regnum Christi charism.
Through presentations by experts and professors, the meeting will offer a journey ranging from the medieval roots of St. Bonaventure to the modern testimonies of St. Thérèse of Lisieux and Charles de Foucauld, culminating in a reflection on the current mission of Regnum Christi members.
