APRA Hosts the 9th World Congress of Metaphysics: Science and Experience Open to the Absolute
The Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum (APRA) is preparing to host an event of international importance: the 9th World Congress of Metaphysics, to be held in Rome from November 3 to 6, 2025. This year’s edition celebrates the 25th anniversary of its founding in 2000, marking a quarter of a century of dialogue on fundamental issues of human existence.
The Congress takes place in a special context, that of the Jubilee Year, and aims to offer a unique platform for reflection and discussion under the title: “Science and experience open to the absolute.” The goal is to explore the foundations of the human being and his relationship with the experimental and experiential sciences, promoting an integral vision of the person.
A Crucial Dialogue for the Future
The event promises to have a significant impact on various human disciplines, such as pedagogy, ethics, law, ecology, psychology, and more. Enriching interaction between scientific progress and metaphysical perspectives is encouraged in order to address the challenges of the contemporary world.
The debate will revolve around four main themes:
- The consequences of scientific and technological progress.
- Metaphysics, mysticism, and epistemology in the human sciences.
- The person and relationships: current horizons and challenges.
- The figure and thought of Fernando Rielo.
Event Details and Registration
The Congress will be held at the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum, located at Via degli Aldobrandeschi, 190, Rome.
Registration for the event is open until October 20, 2025.
