ACN Scholarships for Priests and Religious

Thanks to the support of Aid to the Church in Need (ACN), talented young priests and religious from around the world have the opportunity to access a high-level academic education at the Regina Apostolorum Pontifical Athenaeum.

This initiative is part of ACN’s mission to support further studies (e.g. postgraduate studies) for priests and religious, providing them with the academic and pastoral tools they need to serve communities around the world.

The scholarships provided by ACN International are a valuable aid for priests and religious who wish to train at our Athenaeum.

If you wish to deepen your studies and receive a formation of excellence in theology, philosophy or bioethics, the Regina Apostolorum Pontifical Athenaeum offers a wide range of courses and academic programmes of excellence in an international environment.

NOTES

• Timing: Please submit your application by 1 March
• Modalities: The request must be made by the Bishop or Major Superior by 1 March at the latest, before the student has even left his country. Only one request per academic year may be examined if the students belong to the same diocese or religious province.

How to apply for a scholarships ?

Scholarship applications must only be submitted by Catholic ecclesiastical authorities (bishops, religious superiors or heads of recognised communities) and accompanied by the written approval of the local bishop or religious superior.

To submit an application you must:

1. Complete the application form available on the ACN website.
2. Send the application by e-mail to the contacts indicated on ACN International.
3. Attach the following documents:
   – Letter of recommendation from the competent ecclesiastical authority.
   – Detailed description of the training project and pastoral context.
   – Financial plan, specifying local resources and any other requests for support.

IMPORTANT: Please submit your application by 1 March, so that it can be processed in good time before the start of the winter semester, visa application, etc.
