APRA Solidale: The Gift that Unites, the Solidarity that Illuminates
Christmas is a time for giving, sharing, and hope. It is the moment when we rediscover that the most authentic joy is born from offering one’s time and heart to those who are experiencing difficulties.
This year, too, the Third Mission of the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum promotes APRA Solidale, and on Saturday, December 13th, we will serve the CHRISTMAS LUNCH on our premises with the help of our community – authorities, professors, students, employees, and suppliers – to 100 people in need invited by Caritas. It is the sign of an Athenaeum that embraces the commitment to the poor to testify that knowledge is complete only when it becomes service, compassion, and fraternity.

Managing responsibly what we are and what we have means remembering that every gesture of love generates light, both for those who receive it and for those who offer it. As Pope Leo XIV recalled on the occasion of the recent World Day of the Poor: Ā«The poor are creative subjects who provoke us to always find new ways to live the Gospel today.Ā» Because the poor are not only recipients of aid but true teachers who invite us to conversion, care, and commitment.
