Exorcism Course – Invitation and Testimony by Professor Mary Healy
This year too, from May 12th to 16th, the course on Exorcism and the Prayer of Deliverance returns, organized by the Sacerdos Institute of the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum (APRA) and GRIS (Socio-Religious Research and Information Group), on the occasion of which Professor Mary Healy will delve into some aspects related to the involvement of the laity as well.
We share here her testimony and her invitation video.
“The ministry of exorcism has always been among the most important expressions of the Church’s maternal care for those oppressed by Satan, perhaps the least understood and most marginalized among her children. In the aftermath of Vatican II, however, a truth as ancient as the Gospel was rediscovered: that namely all those baptized in Christ, clergy and lay, are called and empowered to bind the enemy in the name of Christ and restore God’s children to the freedom and dignity that is theirs. In recent years, increasing numbers of lay faithful have become involved in the ministry of deliverance, greatly extending the reach of the Church’s pastoral care. Today, we have a much deeper understanding of the role of the lay faithful in the ministry of deliverance. I am excited to share these important theological insights at the upcoming Course on Exorcism and the Ministry of Deliverance organized by the Sacerdos Institute and the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum in Rome”
