New Strategic Planning: APRA looks to the future

The Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum (APRA) is pleased to announce the publication and sharing of its new Strategic Plan, a fundamental document that will guide the development of the Athenaeum for the next five years, until 2029.

As is tradition, the University renews its strategic vision every five years to address future challenges and consolidate its educational and research mission. This new plan is structured around four main lines of action, aimed at promoting sustainable growth and a constant commitment to excellence.

The Strategic Lines

The plan is based on four interconnected pillars, designed to strengthen every aspect of university life.

• Academic Quality: The primary objective is to encourage and guarantee scientific research through cross-disciplinary research areas, offer innovative programs (both in-person and online), and enhance the professionalism of the teaching staff. The University is committed to providing high-quality education that is always in step with the times.
• Community and Community Spirit: This point focuses on the active involvement of students, offering them support, tutoring, and extracurricular training. In addition, the plan aims to strengthen APRA’s commitment to the Third Mission, enhancing its contribution to society and the local area.
• Institutional Management: The goal is to promote an organizational culture based on shared responsibility, enhance human talent, ensure effective internal communication, and accelerate the Athenaeum’s digital transformation, making it more agile and modern.
• Institutional Development: This strategic line is geared towards promoting significant growth, both in terms of visibility and student numbers. The plan aims to promote a culture of economic and financial sustainability, build partner loyalty and forge new institutional relationships, as well as strengthening the sense of belonging among the Alumni Community.

This Plan represents a ‘pact’ with our community and a promise of a dynamic and growing future. The University is committed to achieving the objectives set with dedication and passion, in order to continue to be a benchmark in higher education and research.
