The International Course for Seminary Formators offers an unmissable opportunity for those who guide future priests to update their skills, deepen their knowledge, and share meaningful experiences during the Jubilee Year. This year, Rome becomes the spiritual center of the world, welcoming rectors, vice rectors, spiritual directors, and seminary formators to an exceptional training program at the heart of the Church.

The program is designed for those who wish to enhance their skills and prepare in the best way possible within an international and spiritually stimulating environment. Throughout a month of intensive formation in Rome, participants will have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues from around the world, fostering both personal and professional growth.

The course will take place between two major jubilee events: the Jubilee for Priests, from June 25 to 27, and the Jubilee for Young People, from July 28 to August 3, adding a special dimension of celebration and renewal to this formative experience.

For those who wish to attend the Jubilee for Priests, accommodation at the College is available on June 24 and 25 at a daily rate of €51.50, which includes breakfast and dinner. It is also possible to extend the stay after the course with additional nights from July 26 to August 4, at the same daily rate of €51.50, breakfast and dinner included.

Target Audience

Aimed at rectors, vice-rectors, spiritual directors, and seminary formators, this course provides up-to-date tools to support seminarians in their growth and development.

Educational Objectives

The course seeks to reinforce pastoral commitment and provide concrete tools to guide seminarians in their vocational journey. This month of study, updates, and fraternal exchange—based on essential pastoral documents (Ratio Fundamentalis, Pastores dabo vobis, the New Directory for Priests, and Evangelii Gaudium)—has the following aims:

• Address contemporary challenges in priestly formation
• Provide practical tools for the discernment and growth of seminarians
• Facilitate an international exchange of experiences and reflections

Location, dates and costs

• Dates: June 26 to July 26, 2025
• Location: International College of the Legionaries of Christ, Rome (Via degli Aldobrandeschi, 190)
• Languages: English, Spanish, and French (with simultaneous translation)
• Cost: € 2,850.00, including full board, accommodation, cultural visits, and medical insurance. Not included: travel, extra days, and personal expenses. An additional €50 registration fee is required for visa processing, if applicable.
• Deadlines
  • May 15, 2025 for those needing a visa
  • June 1, 2025 for all other participants
  • Accommodation booking for any additional days before or after the course must be completed by June 1. Extensions at the College will not be possible without prior reservation.
• Admission Requirements: Letter of recommendation from the bishop or general superior, CV, passport (valid for at least six months after the course ends), and a passport photo.
