The International Course for Seminary Formators offers an unmissable opportunity for those who guide future priests to update their skills, deepen their knowledge, and share meaningful experiences during the Jubilee Year. This year, Rome becomes the spiritual center of the world, welcoming rectors, vice rectors, spiritual directors, and seminary formators to an exceptional training program at the heart of the Church.

Throughout a month of intensive formation in Rome, participants will have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues from around the world, fostering both personal and professional growth.

Target Audience

Aimed at rectors, vice-rectors, spiritual directors, and seminary formators, this course provides up-to-date tools to support seminarians in their growth and development.

Educational Objectives

The course seeks to reinforce pastoral commitment and provide concrete tools to guide seminarians in their vocational journey. This month of study, updates, and fraternal exchange—based on essential pastoral documents (Ratio Fundamentalis, Pastores dabo vobis, the New Directory for Priests, and Evangelii Gaudium)—has the following aims:

• Address contemporary challenges in priestly formation
• Provide practical tools for the discernment and growth of seminarians
• Facilitate an international exchange of experiences and reflections

Location, dates and costs

• Dates: June 23 to July 13, 2026
• Location: International College of the Legionaries of Christ, Rome (Via degli Aldobrandeschi, 190)
• Languages: English, Spanish, and French (with simultaneous translation)
• Cost: € 2,850.00, including full board, accommodation, cultural visits, and medical insurance. Not included: travel, extra days, and personal expenses. An additional €50 registration fee is required for visa processing, if applicable.

  • June 1, 2026 for all other participants
• Admission Requirements: Letter of recommendation from the bishop or general superior, CV, passport (valid for at least six months after the course ends), and a passport photo.
