The Science and Faith Institute of the Ateneo Pontificio Regina Apostolorum presents the twenty-fourth edition of the Advanced Training Diploma in Science and Faith, an interdisciplinary program dedicated to the study of the relationship between scientific knowledge and theological and philosophical reflection.

The course is promoted in collaboration with other pontifical universities in Rome and with the Faculties of Theology, Philosophy, and Bioethics of the Pontifical Athenaeum.

Thanks to an agreement with the European University of Rome (UER), it is also possible to obtain a dual degree:

  • the Advanced Training Diploma from APRA
  • the Level I Master’s Degree from the European University of Rome

Educational Content and Objectives

The Diploma explores the relationship between science and faith, addressing the primary ethical, philosophical, and anthropological questions emerging from contemporary scientific and technological progress.

The educational path aims to provide participants with the theoretical and cultural skills necessary to understand and promote the dialogue between science and faith within a context of cultural and religious pluralism. Specifically, it aims to:

  • understand major contemporary scientific theories and their philosophical implications;
  • deepen theological reflection on the relationship between faith and reason;
  • analyze new ethical issues related to scientific and technological development;
  • promote a constructive dialogue between science, philosophy, and theology in a pluralistic cultural context.
