The Faculty of Philosophy offers the academic experience of the International Formators Course, organized by Regnum Christi every summer in Rome (IFC by RC â A unique experience of the Regnum Christi charism).
The academic course is an essential part of the IFC, which seeks to âform and inspire the formators of Regnum Christi so that they may renew their desire to make the Kingdom of Christ present in people, in society, and in their hearts (cf. EFRC 36).â It offers an intellectual formation based on the triad GodâManâWorld, helping participants to read the world, history, and the signs of the times in the light of the Gospel.
The purpose of the course is to introduce young professionals and university students to the philosophical foundations of todayâs culture, through a program that begins with Christian anthropology and provides them with the basis to engage in genuine dialogue with contemporary thought and to develop critical thinking skills rooted in a Catholic worldview.
The course is part of an integral formation program that includes self-knowledge, spiritual life, and community experience. The academic section covers subjects such as Christian Anthropology, Biblical Studies, Church History, Dialogue with Contemporary Ideologies, and the Catholic Worldview.

Methodology and Program Structure
The project and its methodology are based on a didactic concept developed over several years through direct collaboration between students and professors. It combines lectures, workshops, excursions, and many extracurricular activities.
The course aims to educate, equip, and empower participants academically. To this end, it explores the following aspects:
- To explain the foundations of human dignity, seeking answers to questions such as: Who is man? What is his purpose? How does he fulfill it? It also examines the disorder introduced by original sin, both in terms of the external and internal obstacles each person encounters on their path toward transcendence.
- To understand and analyze the ideologies and issues that challenge the modern world, thus forming an objective and personal criterion according to the Gospel. Topics address todayâs cultural and ideological landscapes (particularly relativism). From the truth of the Gospel and the solid foundation of human dignity, formators will seek to acquire the capacity to see, judge, and act as true Christians in their daily lives, transforming culture through their personal witness.
- To study and understand God in Sacred Scripture, allowing the formator to experience a personal encounter with Him, and in Church History, creating an appropriate space for the formator to understand Godâs providential action in human history.
- To present the figure of a Regnum Christi formator as a valuable response to the current needs of the Church. This should enable the participant to interpret social reality within the framework of their identity as an apostle of Jesus Christ who bears witness to the Good News.
