New book by Alberto Carrara “On the Way with St Matthew”

The new book by Alberto Carrara, entitled ‘On the Way with St Matthew. Ignatian Spiritual Exercises in the Father’s Logic’. The book, published by Gabrielli Editori, follows the previous one, ‘In cammino con San Luca’, published in 2021.

In this new work, the author proposes a path of Ignatian spiritual exercises through the Gospel of St Matthew, with the aim of helping the reader to ‘order the heart and purify the gaze’. The book focuses on the theme of the ‘journey’, understood as an experience of inner search and encounter with God.

Father Carrara delves into the biblical questions ‘Where are you?’ and ‘What is your name?’, inviting the reader to know himself in order to get to know the Creator better. The text emphasises how the entire narrative of Matthew’s Gospel is pervaded by the logic of the Father, a central concept in the author’s reflection.
