Webinar: Longevity 4.0 – Neuroscience and Artificial Intelligence for the Future of Aging
We’re delighted to announce an event of primary scientific and ethical interest: the APRA webinar “Longevity 4.0: Neuroscience and Artificial Intelligence for the Future of Aging,” which will be held on July 3, 2025, starting at 5:00 PM CEST. The webinar will be in Italian with simultaneous translation into English.
This completely free digital event is designed as an in-depth, multidisciplinary exploration of new horizons in advanced age. It will have a special focus on brain health, active aging, and the prospects of quality longevity.
It will be a unique opportunity to collectively reflect on how to improve the quality of life in old age, fully valuing the dimensions of body, mind, and interpersonal relationships, in light of the latest academic developments and the inspiring words of His Holiness Pope Francis at the recent Vatican Longevity Summit.
The meeting will be introduced by Prof. P. Alberto Carrara, LC, Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy at the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum, who extends an invitation to all interested parties for reflection:
“Human longevity is currently at the center of scientific, ethical, and social debate, thanks in part to recent developments in neuroscience and artificial intelligence. Pope Francis, in his message to the first Vatican Longevity Summit on March 24, emphasized the importance of promoting a long and dignified life for all. This #WebinarAPRA offers an interdisciplinary journey through science, ethics, and technology to explore how innovation is redefining the concept of aging and improving the quality of life. We will analyze the state of the art in longevity research, with particular attention to the role of the brain and the use of artificial intelligence in monitoring and promoting cognitive well-being.”
Our sincerest thanks go to our Media Partner Avvenire, who will moderate the event with the participation of Dr. Francesco Ognibene, Editor-in-Chief of Avvenire and Director of the “è Vita” section of Avvenire.
We look forward to a large turnout and warmly invite you to participate in this fundamentally important discussion, which will feature distinguished speakers such as Dr. Matilde Leonardi and Dr. Alberto Beretta.
