Designation of Prof. Marta Rodríguez as Adjunct Professor
The Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum is pleased to announce that the Grand Chancellor has appointed Prof. Marta Rodríguez, consecrated member of Regnum Christi, as Associate Professor in the Faculty of Philosophy. The appointment was made in accordance with Article 30 §2 of the University Statutes.
On behalf of the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and the entire community, APRA extends its sincere congratulations to Prof. Rodríguez. Her appointment is a significant recognition of her outstanding academic contribution and dedication.
Prof. Rodríguez served as director of the Institute for Higher Studies on Women from 2009 to 2019, where she is currently the academic and research coordinator. She holds a PhD in Philosophy from the Pontifical Gregorian University, with a thesis on the philosophical roots of the gender issue, which earned her the prestigious Bellarmino Prize and the de Lubac Prize.
The author of numerous publications, she recently published the book Il genere, i giovani e la Chiesa: mettere insieme i pezzi (Gender, Youth, and the Church: Putting the Pieces Together) (Città Nuova). She collaborates periodically with the publishing house and has offered her expertise to the Dicastery for Laity, Family, and Life. She is also a member of the editorial board of the magazine Donna, Chiesa, Mondo (Woman, Church, World) of L’Osservatore Romano.
