John Henry Crosby, President and Founder of the Hildebrand Project, is an American intellectual, translator, and cultural entrepreneur. He is the primary driver behind the 21st-century revival of Dietrich von Hildebrand’s legacy and serves as the Pontifical Athenaeum’s strategic partner for the Chair’s activities.

  • Specialization: Expert in aesthetics, the philosophy of love, and von Hildebrand’s anti-Nazi writings. He is the editor of the landmark critical edition My Battle Against Hitler (Random House, 2014).

  • Scientific Contribution: Under his leadership, the Hildebrand Project has become the world’s leading organization for the publication and translation of Hildebrandian works, promoting Christian personalism through events, fellowships, and digital resources.
