APRA will host the International Congress “Artificial intelligence as a catalyst for contemplation on human nature and the image of God”
The Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum (APRA) is honored to announce that it will be the host and co-organizer of the International Congress entitled: Artificial Intelligence as a Catalyst for Contemplation on Human Nature and the Image of God. The event will take place on December 1 and 2, 2025.
The initiative, promoted in collaboration with the Stanley Jáki Society, aims to initiate a deep interdisciplinary reflection on the ethical, philosophical, and theological implications of Artificial Intelligence in relation to the essence of man and the concept of Imago Dei.
The congress holds particular significance as it is organized in conjunction with the Stanley Jáki Society’s adherence to the Rome Call for AI Ethics. The “Rome Call”, promoted by the Pontifical Academy for Life, constitutes an essential reference for the development of an Artificial Intelligence that is ethically sustainable and oriented towards respect for human dignity.
The Stanley Jáki Society was founded in 2024, as part of the celebrations for the centenary of Father Jáki’s birth, by the Benedictine Archabbey of Pannonhalma and the Hungarian Diplomatic Academy. It is highlighted that the initiative is entirely financed by the Hungarian Diplomatic Academy.
Among the notable speakers, the congress will feature the participation of Rev. Dr. Andrea Ciucci, PhD, Secretary General of the Pontifical Academy for Life, Vatican City, and of the reInAssance Foundation.
