APRA Solidarity 2026: “Kilo Amico” Food Drive and Charity Lunch with Caritas

Christmas is approaching, and as every year, the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum is preparing to experience the holiday season by placing sharing, concrete closeness, and fraternity at the center. In fact, APRA Solidarity is back—an initiative that unites students, faculty, leadership, and staff in a great chain of charity and hope open to the entire community.

This year’s edition is enriched with new events and dates to mark in your calendar right away, to make solidarity the true driving force of our academic community.

APRA Solidarity Events with CARITAS

• “Kilo Amico” Food Drive

  • November 30 – December 17

  • A special corner entirely dedicated to collecting non-perishable essential food items will be set up at the entrance of our Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum. All collected goods will be donated to the Caritas Trionfale Emporium of Solidarity. We invite you to contribute with a small daily gesture: every donation makes a difference for those facing difficult times!

• Charity Lunch

  • Saturday, December 12

  • The traditional and highly anticipated event is back, in which our academic community will open its doors to welcome and directly serve Christmas Lunch to 100 people in need supported by Caritas. A unique opportunity for meeting, listening, and human sharing.

The success of these initiatives rests on the strength of our network and collaboration with long-standing partners who share our values. Once again this year, the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum is proud to walk alongside Gruppo Pellegrini—historically committed to combating new forms of poverty through flagship projects such as the Ruben Charity Restaurant in Milan—and Gruppo IN’s.
