-Teologia:
The course includes a systematic study of the sacrament of marriage from the dogmatic and liturgical point of view. In the first place we study the biblical foundation and the history of theological reflection and doctrine of the ecclesial magisterium on the sacrament. We then move on to systematic study: the rite, the bond with its properties, grace, the sacrament as a permanent reality, the family as a domestic Church and the foundations for a matrimonial and family spirituality. As a corollary, marriage is compared with consecration to God in chastity. Particular attention is paid to the theological and doctrinal contribution of John Paul II and to the most recent developments in Catholic doctrine on marriage and the family.
-Diritto Canonico:
The explanation of the canonical dimension of the sacrament of marriage is set within an integrated discourse that can provide the student with a broad and general overview of the subject matter, in the context of a school of theology, in which all teaching must tend towards an interdisciplinary synthesis. Special attention is given to the topics of matrimonial canon law, as well as the processes of matrimonial nullity after the Mitis Iudex reform.
-Pastorale:
With the guide of the document of the Church, the unit aims to: identify the nature of the marriage pastoral ministry and its most fundamental sectors; analyze the articulation of marriage preparation in its stages (remote, proximate and immediate); develop a methodology to accompany spouses along the path of their lives (stages) with a view to their human and spiritual growth; present the origins of marriage problems (relationship crises), their treatment and their appropriate prevention; present pastoral guidelines for irregular marriages (remarried divorcees, cohabiting couples, same-sex couples…).
