The course will present the basic perspective of Optatam totius 16: provide a brief anthropological contextualization for each sacrament, deal with the biblical origin of the sacrament and its specific New Testament foundations, refer to tradition and present the historical development of the dogma, offer a dogmatic framework which summarizes the essential data of the faith lasses u, finally propose the most significant liturgical-pastoral aspects. For each of the sacraments, Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist, a detailed exposition will be offered to provide a global and unitary approach to the Sacraments of Initiation, without forgetting the nature and specific characteristics of each.
