The goal of the courses at the Faculty is to provide a serious and systematic philosophical education, preparing students to approach the study of Theology in a rigorous and profound manner, responding to the challenges of the new evangelization and addressing the questions raised by the contemporary cultural world.
At the Faculty of Philosophy, we foster the development of critical thinking and proper ethical discernment through mastery of the philosophical heritage, with particular attention to the fundamental principles of the Doctrine of St. Thomas Aquinas.
The Chair is committed to supporting young researchers in medieval philosophy and theology studies, giving them visibility and scientific recognition, creating opportunities for meetings and discussions, and providing practical experience and fieldwork opportunities.
The Neurobioethics Research Group (GdN), founded in 2009, brings together international experts to analyze neuroscience and its implications. Through events and courses, the GdN explores the challenges of neurotechnologies and the mind-body relationship, with both a scientific and anthropological approach. The goal is to guide neural sciences in the service of humanity, considering social and moral aspects.
Dialogue with the world, overcoming defensive barriers, is a necessity recognized by institutions such as Regnum Christi and the RIU. Philosophical research is committed to developing a culture that addresses the current crisis and trains leaders capable of pointing out new paths.
