The course aims first to situate and outline the object of the ‘Introduction to Theology’, in a rigorous manner but still aimed at the specific training of students of bioethics. Firstly, the theological discipline will be presented related to contemporary challenges and its relationship with other related disciplines. Secondly, a historical excursus of the term ‘theology’ will be undertaken. Then, the concept of theology will be studied starting from its classical definition of intellectus fidei to move on to a systematic analysis of the méthodos and in particular the centrality of Scripture, the concept of Tradition, the nature and role of the Magisterium and the sensus fidei of the people of God.
