Introduction
The course will help to understand the motivational frame of reference and the dynamics that move the person to learn. Theories of motivation in the school environment and intervention techniques on motivational factors related to the context, the class group, and the teacher’s actions will be exposed. The motivation to learn must be treated as an objective, as a need and must follow an intrinsic and extrinsic incentive itinerary.
Self-help skills, evaluation of one’s own abilities and expectations of success of the learner are also fundamental. At the center of the motivational flow to make learning, there is the figure of the teacher with his identity, values, sense of effectiveness and operational skills. It is therefore essential to address the motivation to learn as an intrinsic and extrinsic concept related to the learner and to keep in mind group and individual differences, in order to motivate even the least involved people. The course will focus on teaching strategies, effective interventions and continuous teacher training: focal elements so that learning is inserted in a motivating framework and measured on the needs of the individual and the class group.
