Introduction

The course aims to explore the relationship between human development, affective maturation, and growth in faith, with particular focus on consecrated and priestly life. Through an interdisciplinary approach that intertwines theology, psychology, and sociology, the course seeks to foster greater awareness about the responsibility to accompany the journey of human and Christian maturation of oneself and others. Key concepts of spiritual accompaniment, guidance, fatherhood, and counsel will be analyzed, within a biblical, historical, and theological framework. Special emphasis will be placed on the study of personal and interpersonal psychological dynamics that influence thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and faith life, as well as on the fundamental human prerequisites for living consecration in a generative and harmonious way. Methodological tools will also be provided for conducting accompaniment interviews, addressing the issue of crises and their resolution. Thus, the course is set within an integrative horizon, where the spiritual and human dimensions enlighten each other, offering an essential contribution to the training of guides capable of discerning and supporting the vocational journey and personal growth.
