Introduction
The course explores the psychological, relational, and formative dynamics that allow living a consecrated life with harmony and authenticity, balancing personal growth, fraternal life, and community responsibility. It focuses on three main areas: 1. Personal and affective development in consecrated life through the study of the affective mind, daily psychological discernment, and personal life planning, exploring self-compassion tools to foster self-forgiveness and self-giving in community life. 2. Authority, leadership, and community dynamics in a cultural context that often emphasizes individualism and relativism, analyzing the role of authority and obedience in consecrated life as a service in the manner of Christ, including a deep dive into the psychological and motivational processes of leadership, the characteristics of the groups to be led, and the risks associated with power abuses. 3. Vocational discernment and integration of human and spiritual dimensions, assessing the criteria and limits of formative figures in evaluating the suitability and vocation of candidates, highlighting the need for an integrated approach between spirituality, psychology, and canon law to prevent fragmented or confusing paths. The course offers an interdisciplinary and practical interpretation, providing theoretical and practical tools to address the challenges of consecrated life, maintaining a dynamic balance between personal growth, community needs, and fidelity to one’s own charisma.
