The objective of the course is to reflect, from a theological perspective, on the pastoral action of the Parish through a renewed reflection on this ancient and highly relevant ecclesial institution. Through a historical itinerary, from its foundation to the present day, the course aims to provide students with a renewed awareness of this fundamental missionary reality of the Church in service of the “new evangelization” by interpreting the “signs of the times” today. Designed as an extension of ecclesiological understanding, the course will reference various recent reflections of the Church’s magisterium, particularly the Apostolic Exhortation Evangelii Gaudium by Pope Francis. In addition to lectures, students will participate in workshops focused on theological reflection on pastoral action, with special attention to new forms of catechesis.
