The course gives an overview of the historical development and chief bioethical perspectives regarding gender identity. It also proposes a methodology for constructive dialogue with members of different philosophical movements. Attention is given to metaphysical questions of anthropology and to practical approaches to dialogue and effective medical and pastoral care.
