Academic Year 2025-2026

Semester

II Semestre

Class beginning dates

Introduction

This course seeks to identify the true political aspirations of man’s social being and, consequently, the proper practical contribution of man in society. The course aims to redefine the true nature and ultimate goal of political activity in accordance with man’s transcendent destiny. This requires overcoming the partial and sometimes false forms of human politics and their tragic historical consequences. It also seeks a deeper understanding of the relationship and distinction between transcendence and immanence, individuality and relationship, the sacred and the profane, as these dimensions are experienced in social human existence. The course also presents the necessary challenges and dispositions for the coexistence of an authentic political life.
