The aim of the course is to introduce students to the study of modern deductive logic (also called “first-order logic”) in order to improve their reasoning skills and familiarize them with the formal tools used in some contemporary philosophical disciplines. In addition to the lectures – on the fundamental concepts, formal languages ​​and logical calculi of this logic – some tutorial lessons are also planned.
