Introduction

The classic definition of philosophy is “love of wisdom.” Humans naturally desire knowledge. They want to know where they come from, the value of their knowledge, how human knowledge works, how they should behave, and what they can hope for. Philosophy is a rational inquiry aimed at making sense of these questions. The course “Science and Wisdom” seeks to provide foundations for beginning philosophical-theological disciplines. The course is divided into three parts: 1. Introduction to philosophical thought by answering the question: What is philosophy and how is it divided. 2. How human knowledge works and what is the capacity of humans to know the truth. 3. Logic as the way in which the human mind proceeds for adequate and organized thought.
