This course is an introduction to the Law of Moses (i.e., the Pentateuch, Gen-Dt), the so-called Former Prophets (Jos-2Ki), and the other historical books of the Bible (1Chr-2Macc). Through this course, we aim to understand the historical, social, and religious context in which these books emerged, so that we can understand how God guided His people in the understanding of His mysteries until the arrival of Jesus Christ, “the one about whom Moses wrote in the Law, and also the Prophets” (Jn 1:45).
