The course aims to provide a comprehensive view of the mystery of Jesus Christ, his being and his work of salvation, highlighting the close connection between Christology and soteriology. For this purpose, our reference points will be: biblical revelation from both the Old and New Testaments (biblical approach); theological reflection developed by the Church Fathers that influenced the definition of dogma by the early councils (patristic-dogmatic approach); as well as further theological thought in its most distinctive aspects. Throughout the discussion of various themes, we will reflect on the contemporary significance of the person of Jesus Christ and his universal mission of salvation.
