Tour2France 2025
We have now come to the end of this beautiful new edition 2025, which started from St. Peter’s Square on the occasion of the Jubilee of Sport, with participants also from past editions of the Tour To France and with Team APRA from the Rome Marathon.
In the solemnity of the Holy Trinity, together with the more than three thousand faithful present, Pope Leo XIV recalled three aspects that make sport âa precious means of human and Christian formationâ, namely collaboration, the concreteness of being together and the art of defeat that opens to hope. The Pontiff considers it a truly âbeautifulâ mission that the Church entrusts to sportspeople: to be a âreflection of God the Trinityâ also for the good of their brothers and sisters. The Successor of Peter urges them to let themselves be involved âwith enthusiasm: as athletes, as trainers, as clubs, as groups, as familiesâ.
Lastly, he refers to the Mother of Jesus, so discreet but so full of solicitude, of dynamism, of ârunningâ towards God and others, as Pope Francis liked to recall. âLet us ask her to accompany our labours and our impulses, and to direct them always to the best, until the greatest victory: that of eternity, the âinfinite fieldâ where the game will no longer end and joy will be full.â

Then, led as always by our Alumnus Fr. Clemens, from the Sanctuary of Oropa in Biella to the Cathédrale Notre-Dame-du-Puy, to support the Pedaling for Scholarships campaign and offer scholarships to students of the University in financial difficulty by feeding the Good Samaritan Fund.
From Sunday, June 15 to Monday, June 23, 2025, the Tour2France returns. This cycling event supports students who wish to continue their studies at the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum (Ateneo) but face financial difficulties in pursuing their education at our campus in Rome.
For the Jubilee Year, the APRA Team, once again led by our Alumnus Fr. Clemens L.C., is moving the start of the Tour to June during the Jubilee of Sport. They will participate alongside the athletes who took part in the 30th Rome Marathon Run4Good 2025.
After attending the Holy Mass presided over by the Holy Father in St. Peter’s Square, the Tour2France will set off from the Sanctuary of Oropa in Biella. After more than 1,000 km, it will reach its final destination, the CathĂ©drale Notre-Dame-du-Puy, combining charity, sport, and spirituality.

This edition will be rich in opportunities and challenges, featuring breathtaking views and dizzying inclines along the Alps. It aims to offer support to those in need, aligning with Pope Francis’s words on the virtues of sport: loyalty, commitment, sacrifice, team spirit, and redemption.
The Tour2France is not just a sporting event but, above all, an opportunity to support the Pedaling for Scholarships campaign.1 This campaign provides scholarships to Ateneo students facing financial difficulties and promotes the values of solidarity in sport and the beauty of creation.
We invite you to follow the Tour day by day through our social media channels, discovering new landscapes, cultures, and local traditions.
Our hope is to raise more and more donations to offer a greater number of scholarships, thus contributing to a great mission of solidarity. Help us and support the Tour2France 2025 with a donation; the resources from this solidarity campaign will be made available to the Good Samaritan Fund and disbursed according to the criteria of the relevant3 call for applications.
