The course aims to help students acquire anatomical and physiological knowledge that will enable them to better understand the biomedical aspects underlying bioethical issues. After a general introduction to human anatomy and physiology, the course focuses on the reproductive, respiratory, cardiovascular, and nervous systems, with particular emphasis on states of consciousness and the diagnosis of death.
