Introduction
The course aims to explore the integration of the bodily, psychic, and spiritual dimensions in consecrated life, offering tools for understanding and discernment to address challenges related to personal and communal growth. The course is structured around three fundamental thematic areas: 1) Trauma, relationships, and affective development: The dynamics of dysfunctional relationships in primary interactions will be explored, with particular attention to various forms of abuse and their impact on the affective, emotional, and relational development of the individual. The effects that traumatic experiences can have on relational styles and community life will also be examined. 2) Vocation, affectivity, and integration between body and spirit: Starting from the Christian vision of the vocation to love, the course will explore the relationship between celibate life for the Kingdom and nuptial love, highlighting the need for full integration of body, psyche, and spirit in responding to Godās call. 3) Psychological disorders and discernment in consecrated life: The main psychological and psychiatric disorders that can emerge in consecrated and priestly life will be presented, with the goal of forming a capacity for discernment that allows the recognition of situations of discomfort and, if necessary, directing individuals towards appropriate specialist support.
