Introduction
The course aims to provide students with the tools for studying early Christian monuments, analyzing their typologies and functions, highlighting their incidence in the urban space and rural territory, and verifying the process of Christianity’s acculturation in late antique society through the analysis of direct and indirect sources.
The course will privilege the archaeological evidence present in the Urbe, compared with examples from other regions of the Orbis christianus antiquus.
