Introduction
Neuroscience is surprising us more and more every day with extraordinary discoveries and innovative applications to the health and life of human beings, sick and healthy. Numerous are the classical ideas and concepts that brain sciences are challenging. The use of modern neuro-technologies makes it possible to investigate the physiology underlying human cognitive activities, emotions, different behaviors, affectivity, etc. The problem of interpreting and applying neuro-empirical data has given rise to a new discipline, neuroethics, a true ābridgeā between neuroscience, philosophy and bioethical reflection. Neuroethics is not simply a new field or area of classical bioethics; rather, it is characterized as a new field of anthropological, cultural and social reflection. This course of elements of neurobioethics aims to provide the student with a historical-systematic introduction to this emerging interdisciplinary field and, through lectures and dynamic group activities, offers an overview of the nature, status and method proper to neuroethics.
