Introduction
The period of history from the death of Thomas Aquinas in 1274 to the conclusion of the Council of Trent in 1563 represents a paradigm of a “change of epoch.” Through a cross-sectional study of the theological debates that touched all areas of dogmatic theology, the course aims to illustrate the similarities and differences between that period and our own social, ecclesial and academic trends, so as to face the theological challenges of the 21st Century with both knowledge and wisdom.
