Introduction
The course will identify some of the basic philosophical notions of the phenomenological analysis of the sciences as a model for understanding reality. This approach will enable a deeper comprehension of the underlying reasons for the “crisis” that contemporary society, particularly European culture, is currently experiencing. The phenomenological framework will be presented as one of the most suitable philosophical systems for addressing the delicate interaction, in the lifeworld, between categories (logic), the experience of being (ontology), and the concrete actions of the social subject (ethics). Additionally, an effort will be made to apply Husserl’s discourse, following a model of “practical philosophy,” to some current events.
