The course offers an introduction to prophetic literature in general and, in particular, to the phenomenon of prophecy in Israel. The books of the classical prophets will be examined and contextualized within their historical period. During the lectures, in addition to a general presentation of each prophetic book (history of the text, structure, historical contextualization, theological message), an exegetical study of selected passages from the books of Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and the Twelve Minor Prophets will be undertaken.
