Introduction

The family constitutes a fundamental context of existential orientation, in dialogue with social and cultural challenges, but above all on the basis of the stimuli offered by the Magisterium. The course explores the emerging issues on the new forms of family in the contemporary context related to the structure of the family itself, to the new kinship ties (the role of grandparents and uncles, for example) and to the management of different and new educational institutions. It will be the peculiar objective of the Course to ensure timely formation through an adequate methodology that will allow the students to listen, accompany and get to know today’s family better, taking into account the anthropological and theological perspective of Amoris Laetitia. To provide students with practical tools for listening and counseling in the pastoral field aimed at both families and the younger generations. In order to encourage a multiplicity of interpretations, to interpret the transformative processes and the new challenges that call into question family education, the contributions that allow us to deepen the theme in an anthropological-psychological and theological key will be valued, aimed at facilitating the paths of accompaniment proposed by the Magisterium, to live with a Christian spirit and in a responsible and free way also the possible consequences of marital failure.
