The aim of the course is to introduce students to the study of modern deductive logic (also called “first order logic”) in order to improve their reasoning skills and to let them familiarize with the formal tools used in some contemporary philosophical disciplines. In addition to lectures on the fundamental notions, the formal languages and the logical calculi of this logic, there are also some tutorial lessons.
