Introduction
The relationship between Christianity is one of the most salient themes of Christian reflection. It suggests a wide range of themes ranging from the comparative history of religions to philosophy and have theological and pastoral consequences. The official doctrine of the Church has passed from rather rigid positions in the evaluation of religions to a more positive vision, thanks above all to the Second Vatican Council, but also thanks to the reflection of theologians of the caliber of H. De Lubac, J. Daniélou and K. Rahner, to mention only the initiators of the two great trends within Catholic theology.
The purpose of this course is to offer the student the knowledge necessary to understand the response of the Magisterium and Catholic theology to the relationship between Christianity and other religions and how other religions are placed in relation to salvation. With this knowledge he will be able to discern between the various theological proposals and accompany the faithful in understanding the specificity of Christianity and its insertion into the religious universe.
