The course offers knowledge of the dominant themes of the Psalter to discover the many faces of God, mysterious and luminous at the same time, the object of the prayer’s desire. From the literary genres of the songs the contrasting existential situations of man and of the religious community united in the liturgies of the temple to meet his Lord will be highlighted. A look at the psalmist’s states of mind, with an in-depth look at the dark night and the presence of evil and enemy realities. The final organization of the Psalter invites the reader on a spiritual journey. The theme of the faithfulness of God and the just will conclude the course, with a reference to the mystery of Christ in the Psalms.
