Through the study and analysis of some sacred pictorial works of art concerning the Paschal Mystery, the seminar proposes to deepen the sacramental dyad of the revelation of the Christian Mystery, Word and image, based on the double aspect of the Incarnation: the Word becoming flesh. Christ is the image of the Father, he is the revealed Truth that is Love fulfilled in the Paschal way and manifested in Beauty. Theology contemplates in the Incarnate Word the ultimate Via Pulchritudinis, and the passage from purely aesthetic experience to Christian spiritual experience. And it is in this context that sacred pictorial art acquires its significance, as a hospitable fragment of the irruption of infinite Beauty into the world.
